Thank you to Basic Invite for sponsoring this post.

I’d been wanting to order some personalized stationery, so it was perfect timing when Basic Invite asked me to try their product and write an article. The logo of Simply SV is an apricot, a nod to the fact that, before the computer age, before the nickname Silicon Valley, before housing prices skyrocketed, Santa Clara Valley was blanketed in orchards.

I scrolled through their stationery options and was pleased to find a design that fits the theme of this blog. Click here to see what the design looked like before I tweaked it.

Technically, they’re branches of flowers, but they could just as easily be branches of apricots—they grow in clusters like that. I adjusted the shade of green and made the flowers orange. The whole process was very easy: I moved the text around, chose the color, size, and font I wanted them to be. Pretty simple. This says a lot, as I’m rather technologically challenged and maintaining a website has been a big accomplishment for me. The paper is a nice weight too: sturdy and high quality.

Basic Invite launched in 2006 and is located in St. George, Utah. They are offering 30% off all holiday cards and invitations through the end of 2018.

  • Nearly Unlimited Colors. I took advantage of this feature in designing my stationery. You have almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element to over 180 different color options so the card is exactly how you want it, down to the littlest detail.

  • Custom Samples. You can order a printed sample of the actual card/stationery/invitation so you see it and feel it before placing a final order.

  • Colored Envelopes. They have 40+ options. All envelopes are peel & seal—no licking. White envelopes and address printing are included in card orders.

  • Address Capturing Service. They give you a link to share on any social media platform to request your friends’ and family’s addresses. The addresses are stored in your Basic Invite account and can be selected during the design process. Recipient address printing is included, free of charge, on all orders.

  • Mail Direct. They can mail your holiday cards and invites for you.

Have fun checking out their products, there are over 500 holiday card options. Foil cards are available in gold, silver, and rose gold, with the option of flat or raised foil. (I love foil!)

Personalized stationery makes for a nice Christmas gift. I’ve been wanting to get my children personalized stationery, to make writing thank you notes a bit more fun. I scrolled through and picked a design that each child would like; foil in the stationery makes it extra cool.

Mustache Stationery for Gus.

Engineer/Architect design for Hudson.

Strong, classic, simple for Cru.

And…How cute is this for a chef or baker?! Again, love that foil.
