Happy Almond Roca Day! Today is the first of December, and thereby, Almond Roca Day.
Let me explain: Grandma Millie practically raised me on homemade Almond Roca, and this delectable treat has become the Christmas mascot of my home. I make it only during the month of December, and today I'll make the inaugural batch of 2017. Therefore, today is Almond Roca Day. This dessert brings so much delight to my husband and children, they've even composed an Almond Roca song.
I administer Almond Roca to the children via the Christmas House Advent Calendar, pictured above. My mom gave me this special gift 10 years ago. There is a wooden door and a cavity for each day leading up to Christmas. I tuck 3 pieces behind the door of the day—one chunk per child, to countdown to Christmas; not a bad life.
In honor of Almond Roca Day, I'm linking to last December's article that shared the coveted recipe. Click here for the recipe! And below is a link for the Christmas House—it's a wonderful gift and tradition. If I were more on top of my game, I would've told you about it back in November; thankfully it's offered with Prime shipping, so it'll arrive soon enough.
p.s. This is my first affiliate link! I'm growing in my blogging IQ. If you take my recommendation and buy the Christmas House, Amazon pays me a small commission for the referral. Pretty cool, but you have to buy via the link in this article.
